Hourglass Round Dining Table in Travertine and Marble
One block of stone, carved into an hourglass, carrying a single round top. No travertine look surface. No stone effect coating, no veneer over board. Nothing here imitates stone, because all of it is stone, and the base is carved from a single solid block rather than assembled from pieces. Bedú Atelier drew this table in house and cut the first Hourglass prototype in 2023.
Proportion, redrawn for every size
There is no standard leg and no standard tabletop here. When the diameter changes, the base changes with it. Height, waist and the sweep of the hourglass curve are all redrawn so the table holds the same silhouette at 100 cm as it does at 160 cm. Our architects recalculate that curve for every table. This is why the Hourglass is not a production run: each table is cut to its own drawing, made to order, one at a time.

Choose your stone
The original is Light Travertine: warm, open pored, with the soft horizontal veining travertine is known for. The same table is cut from Calacatta Viola with its violet veining, from Rosso Levanto in deep burgundy with white veins, from Emperador Dark in warm brown, and from a wider range of travertines and marbles on our Materials page.
These are the stones we keep on hand, not the limit. The Hourglass can be cut from almost any travertine or marble block. If you have a stone in mind that you cannot find there, contact us and we will source it for you.

This table is our own design. It was drawn by our architects, prototyped in our atelier in 2023, and it has been made here ever since.

A travertine table adds value to your home with its natural stone structure that is both aesthetic and functional. We offer simple and elegant travertine table models that have been processed in a detailed manner at BEDÚ Atelier.
Travertine, being a natural material, makes each product unique and distinctive with its texture, color tones, and vein patterns. Moreover, the surface of the stone naturally contains small pores that are indicative of the authenticity of travertine. Depending on your preference, the pores of the stone can be filled, and the surface can be chosen as either matte or polished.
Travertine stones are crafted with patience and skill in challenging conditions. Our skilled artisans carefully cut, shape, polish, and add the final touches to these materials. Thus, we preserve the natural and organic forms of travertine while creating furniture designs that complement your home.

Use a soft cloth or sponge with pH-neutral cleaning products designed for marble or travertine. Avoid abrasive agents.
- Water and Moisture:
Promptly wipe off spills and avoid prolonged exposure to water.
- Heat and Temperature Changes:
Use trivets or protective pads to prevent direct contact with hot objects.
- Scratches:
Avoid sharp or abrasive objects and use cutting boards or mats for cutting.
- Periodic Maintenance:
Apply recommended natural stone protectors and polishes to maintain shine and protect surfaces.

DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
- We offer free delivery and assembly services in the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Shipping costs are shown at checkout for select countries. For others, contact us via email or message.
- Our tables are delivered in separate parts, with tabletops and legs packaged separately.
- For NL&BE deliveries are limited to the ground floor. If a suitable elevator is available in the building, delivery can be made to the designated location.
